Kingsley sources leathers from a company that owns and operates farms around the world where animals are bred in their indigenous environments and live out their full life spans. Also, for over 20 years these farms have maintained a policy to release 3 eggs into the wild for each egg that is incubated, raised, and used for leathers and meats... thus preserving and growing the wildlife population.

Lisa Kingsley is the founder and designer of Kingsley Handbags. Kingsley is an avid traveler who has worked within different cultures to produce clothing and accessories for over a decade. For Kingsley, a hands-on approach and working together with craftspeople is central to creating her collection. Several months out of the year, Kingsley works with leather makers nearby San Miguel De Allende, Mexico, (where the Kingsley store is located) to create each piece in her collection. A mission for Kingsley is to preserve the art of handcrafting where the spirit of skilled people is infused into each bag, and in turn, gets passed along to her clients. Thus, nothing in the Kingsley collection is mass-produced and thus, can be more meaningful to own.
Over the past decade, Kingsley also designed ready-to-wear and denim collections. Her designs have sold into over 250 retailers worldwide including Saks 5th Ave, Bergdorf Goodman, Maxfield, Takashimaya, Henri Bendel, Louis Boston and Nordstrom. Kingsley has been featured in Vogue, Teen Vogue, WWD, Elle, Harpers Bazaar, W, Time Style & Design, Lucky, In Style, People, Q, Marie Claire, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, The Los Angeles Times, Chicago Magazine, US Weekly, Star, OK, Fox News, NBC News, Luxury Television and various international publications. Kingsley was a former stylist with Ford Models, was honored with a solo fashion show at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago and is a Contributing Fashion Writer for Chicago Magazine. This year Kingsley won FGI's Rising Star Award for Best Accessories and Vogue Magazine invited Kingsley to become one of the "Vogue 100" group of inspiring women in fashion and business. Celebrities who have worn Ms. Kingsley's designs include Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow, Oprah Winfery, Julianne Moore, Katie Holmes, Cameron Diaz, Brad Pitt, Christy Turlington and Angelina Jolie, Pete Wentz and Cameron Diaz.
In addition to her handbag collection, Kingsley is currently in pre-production for her forthcoming cable TV show called "Down to Earth Luxury", a travel and style show, for which she is the hostess. In coming months Kingsley will branch out into outerwear, clothing and furniture.
